The Red Poppy | Le Coquelicot

The Poppy is a common symbol of death and sleep. It appears in works such as the Wizard Of Oz and  in the Canadian poem In Flanders Fields.  A common plant in Europe, it grew even in the harsh worn torn soil. Today it is worn to commemorate fallen soldiers.
